Answer:

Fossil fuels: Fossil fuels include coal, oil and gases which were derived from biological fossils millions of years ago during this a huge amount of CO2 was absorbed from the atmosphere. They contain very high energy density where during the burning oxidation of carbon into CO2 and hydrogen into water vapor. During the combustion of fossil fuels CO2 is released into the atmosphere from where it was sequestered millions of years ago.

Biomass fuels: They contain all the biological material derived from living and nonliving organisms such as plant, animals, microbes etc. It is carbon based which contain organic material consisting of carbon, hydrogen and some extent of oxygen, nitrogen, alkali and heavy metals. Biomass fuels can sequester the carbon from the atmosphere while they are growing and return it upon burning.

Answer: Fossil fuels are derived from biological fossils millions of years ago. It includes coal, oil and gases which has been made by the absorption of CO2 in a huge amount from the environment. They gives very high amount of energy when burned.

On the other hand wood and cow dunk are come in the category of biomass fuels. They contain biological material which are derived from environment such as plant and animals. In comparison to Fossil fuels they give very less energy when burned and also release very high amount of CO2 in the nature.
