Given:

Wing size of Blue Jay = \frac{41}{100} m = 0.41 m

Wing size of Golden Eagle = 2\frac{1}{2}m = 2.5\ m

Wing size of Sea Gull = 1\frac{7}{10}\ m = 1.7\ m

Wing size of albatross = 3\frac{3}{5}\ m = 3.6\ m

Q1) How much longer is the wingspan of albatross than the wingspan of seagull?

Solution 1)

Answer = Wing size of Albatross - Wing size of seagull

3.6 - 1.7 = 1.9 m

or 1\frac{9}{10} m

Q2) Find the ratio of the wingspan of a golden eagle to the wingspan of blue Jay.

Solution 2)

2\dfrac{1}{2} : \dfrac{41}{100}\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{5 \times 100}{2\times 41}\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{250 }{41}

Q3) Which bird can cover maximum distance in 10 minutes.

Solution: Albatross can cover maximum distance in 10 minutes because longer wingspan helps in covering longer distances as per question statement.

Q4) if all birds shown in the figure were made to fly at the same time , then which one will third from last?

A) albatross

B) golden eagle

C) sea gull

D) blue jay

Solution:

B) Golden eagle is the correct answer.

We can clearly see that:

Wingspan of albatross > Wingspan of golden eagle> Wingspan of seagull> Wingspan of blue jay

3rd from last means 2nd from beginning.

2nd largest wingspan is of golden eagle \therefore golden eagle is correct.
