let the number of boys in a school be x.
number of literate boys=20/100*x.
=x/5.
since number of boys are x
therefore number of illiterate boys =x-x/5
=4x/5.
since number of literate boys are equal to number of illiterate girls
so, number of illiterate girls =x/5.
number of literate girls =1/5*4x/5=4x/20
total number of girls =x/5+4x/20=2x/5
required ratio =x/(2/5x)=5/2.
number of literate boys=20/100*x.
=x/5.
since number of boys are x
therefore number of illiterate boys =x-x/5
=4x/5.
since number of literate boys are equal to number of illiterate girls
so, number of illiterate girls =x/5.
number of literate girls =1/5*4x/5=4x/20
total number of girls =x/5+4x/20=2x/5
required ratio =x/(2/5x)=5/2.
