The DNA molecule is composite by three types: Phosphate group , sugar deoxyribose and the nitrogenous bases: Adenine,Thymine, cytosine, Guanine (A,T,C,G)
The RNA molecule the phosphate group ,sugar ribose and the nitrogenous bases : Adenine ,uracil, Cytosine , Guanine ( A,U,C,G)

The component of the DNA and RNA molecules are:

  • DNA is the genetic material of eukaryotes as well as prokaryotes whereas RNA as genetic material is found in prokaryotes.
  • DNA is found in the nucleus as well as small of if DNA also found in mitochondria.
  • RNA is found in the nucleolus.
  • RNA is transcribed from DNA in the nucleus of eukaryotes.
  • Components of DNA are adenine, guanine, thymine and cytosine.
  • Components of RNA are adenine, guanine, cytosine and uracil.
  • In RNA ribose sugar is present whereas DNA contains deoxyribose sugar.
