Alice remembered a strange rabbit, a very profound rabbit hole, a small door, and the loveliest garden.
Alice's character was built on a real-life little girl termed Alice Liddell.
She was in fact not fair-haired as exemplified in the book but a brunette. The real-life Alice has been depicted in fiction almost as several times as the fictional one!
