1)Constitution is an agreement that all people should follow.

2) Constitution assembly of India consisting of indirect elected representatives was established to draft a constitution of India. it existed for approx 3 years the first parliament of India after independence 1947.

3) the constitution has three main function :-First it creates a national government consisting a legislative and executive and judicial branch ,with a system of checks and balance among the three branches. It divides power between the federal government and the state.

4)in 1928 motilal nehru and eight other drafted the constitution of India and presented Nehru report which recommended bicameral legislature division of powers between the centre and the state,autonomy to the provinces which were later included in the constitution drafted after independence 2.
