When an object moves on a circular path and its position remains constant with time with respect to a point ( origin ) in its surrounding, then its motion is said to be uniform circular motion.

The change in the position of a body with time can be represented on distance-time graph. It provides information about

1) Nature of motion of the body

2) Position of the body at any intermediate time

3) Speed of the moving body.

The variation in velocity with time for a body moving in a straight line can be represented by a velocity-time graph.

It provides information about

1) Velocity of moving body at any point of time and the nature of the motion.

2) Acceleration. Slope of the graph gives the magnitude of acceleration.

3) By calculating the area under the graph, we can find the magnitude of displacement travelled by the body in a given time interval.

Distance and Displacement have same units because Displacement is Distance in a particular direction.

Hope it helps
