Answer:

Mir Jafar is the ex-general of siraj ud daulah who had a controversy with the British against siraj ud daulah.

Explanation:

siraj ud daulah was a descendant of faruksiyar who allowed the british to do a duty free trade in his kingdom, they didnt have to pay taxes to the king. Siraj ud daulah was against this directive hence he ordered the british to pay taxes which they didnt like. Against Siraj, the british started to build forts in his Kingdom which was never allowed. therefore siraj asked them to take down the forts which made the british refuse....this lead to the battle of plassy where the british took Mir Jafar's help to defeat siraj and in return they promised jafar that he would be next king. indeed jafar was the next king but the british took certain advantages on him.

Jafar was not allowed to attack any kingdom without the permission of the british.

The king mainly had to deal with the welfare of the people while the british would conduct taxes on them.

the British received a major portion while the king received only a pension.

This was the British's strategy on ruling.
