1.All organisms respire in order to release energy to fuel their living processes.

2.Aerobic: Aerobic respiration takes place in the mitochondria and requires oxygen and glucose, and produces carbon dioxide, water, and energy. (glucose + oxygen -> carbon dioxide + water). Anaerobic respiration also produces energy and uses glucose, but it produces less energy and does not require oxygen.

3.The role of yeast in winemaking is the most important element that distinguishes wine from grape juice. In the absence of oxygen, yeast converts the sugars of wine grapes into alcohol and carbon dioxide through the process of fermentation.

4.During strenuous exercise, our muscle cells run short of oxygen, as a result they breakdown the glucose to lactic acid anaerobically.
