Respected Sir,

Myself Radha G, one of  the co founders of NGO Awaaz has been involved in the conservation of national heritage rivers for a long time. An alarming concern is the rampant pollution that has been taking place in the Yamuna river for the last few years. It is really sorry to state that human beings are responsible to a large extent. As part of my suggestion a water treatment plant can be installed and purification methods can be undertaken.

Hope you will consider my request

Subject: Need for a public movement to clean the Yamuna River

Dear Sir,

I am Radha G, member of NGO AWAAZ. Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I want to draw the attention of the public towards the need for a public movement to clean the Yamuna river.

The Yamuna River is being contaminated everywhere. The holy river is being filled with sewage, plastic waste and corpses. The factories dump their chemical waste into the river. Due to this, the aquatic system of the Yamuna river is dying day by day. It is also not fit for human consumption. The public had demanded a water treatment plant but there was no response from the concerned authorities.

I hope that you will take this problem into account and publish my letter in your newspaper and help to initiate some solutions to this problem.

Thanking You,

Yours faithfully,

Radha G
