  • Area of parallelogram is 144 cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

To find:-

  • Area of parallelogram.

Solution:-

Given that,

One side of the parallelogram is 18 cm and its distance from the opposite side is 8 cm.

We know,

Opposite sides of parallelogram are equal and parallel to each other.

So,

Side opposite to 18 cm will also measure 18 cm.

Height of parallelogram is 8 cm.

Base of parallelogram will become 18 cm.

Area of parallelogram = Base × Height

 \longrightarrow 18 × 8

 \longrightarrow 144

Therefore,

Area of parallelogram is 144 cm².
