Q13. An electric bulb draws a current of 0.8A and works on 250V on the average 8 hours a day, if energy costs Rs 3 per kWh. Calculate monthly bill for 30 days.

Energy consumed in kwh= (volt× time× current)/1000
=( 250×0.8×8×30)/ 1000
=48 kwh
Cost per kwh= 3
So cost of 48 kwh= 48×3
= 144
Monthly bill=144 rupees ans.
