Q15. A car covers a distance from A to B at 40 km/h and while returning it travels at 50 km/h.
Calculate the average speed.​

Average speed is 45 km/h

Average = (40+50)/2 = 45

Answer:

let the distance be X then time taken from A to B = X/40 h. and time taken from B to A = X/50 h. then total time taken =X/40 + X/50 h =9X/200 h. Now average speed = X÷ 9X/200 km/h =200/9 km/h
