lets first add the following terms.

4x(x-y) + 2y(x+y)

lets first open the brackets.

= 4x²-4xy + 2xy+2y²

= -4xy + 2xy + 4x² + 2y²

= -2xy + 4x² + 2y²

= 4x² + 2y² - 2xy

Now lets subtract the terms

4x² + 2y² - 2xy - 3x(x-y)

= 4x² + 2y² - 2xy - 3x² + 3xy

= 4x²-3x² + 2y² - 2xy + 3xy

= 2y² + x² +xy

Thank you.
