Answer:

I think it should be c as the enzyme substratr complex is formed and which is of high energy and after that products forms of low energy

Answer:

Among the following, Option D represents the changes in substrate concentration during an enzyme-regulated reaction.

Explanation:

  • The substrate is the reactant, enzyme makes the reaction occurs which makes products, the enzyme then catalyses another reaction where the reactants are the substrate, so the substrate concentration is going to decrease.
  • The substrate is used up - enzyme-substrate complexes form (product) so through the reaction substrate concentration would go down.
  • The biocatalysts- Enzymes will work best when there is plenty of substrates.
  • As the substrate concentration increases, so does the rate of enzyme activity.
  • However, it is important to note that the rate of enzyme activity does not increase forever.
  • Because there will be a point when the enzymes reach saturation and become saturated and no more substrates can fit at any one time even though there is plenty of substrates available.
  • A continued increase in substrate concentration results in the same activity as there are not enough enzyme molecules available to break down or take up the excess substrate molecules.
  • And here graph D is the only one where it shows decreasing concentration.
