Tembu was not afraid of anything because -

His father Baldeo, a night watchman, had killed the tiger which was a danger.

He had his father's axe which would save him from wild animals in the forest.

He felt that his dead father's soul was protecting him always.

Tembu is a character from the story of "The tiger in the tunnel" written by Ruskin bond.

In the story, Tembu does not appear afraid or terrified because his father, Baldeo, was a night watchman who had killed  a tiger which was dangerous.

He felt that his dead father's spirit was protecting him.

He also felt confident and brave as he had his father;'s axes which would protect him from any wild and dangerous animals.
