Mass (solute) = 40 gram.
Mass (solvent) = 320 gram.
Mass (solution) = Mass (solute) + Mass (solvent)
= 40 gram + 320 gram.
= 360 gram.
∴ Mass % (solution) = [ Mass (solute)/Mass (solvent)] × 100.
= [40/360] × 100.
= 11.1 %
