When pituitary glands fail to produce enough growth hormones, it can lead to under activity of thyroid gland and result in a condition called dwarfism. It is a condition in which a person has a short stature with small features.

On the contrary, if growth hormone is releases in excess amount, it can over-activate the thyroid gland and causes a condition called gigantism which is characterized as abnormally big upper and lower limbs and abnormal long heights .
