on calculating....we will find p=25 and q=49

so q\p equals 49\25

49\25-3 equals -26\25

Q.3 .If p/q = [ (5/7)^-5 ] / [ (7/5)^7 ] , find the value of (q/p)-3 .

Solution :

p/q = [ (5/7)^-5 ] / [ (7/5)^7 ]

p/q = [ (7/5)^5 ] / [ (7/5)^7 ]

We know that,

(a)^n ÷ (a)^m = [ a ]^(n-m)

So,

p/q = [ 7/5 ]^(5-7)

p/q = (7/5)^-2

p/q = (5/7)^2 = 5*5/7*7 = 25/49

Now,
Finding the value of (q/p)-3

p = 25

q = 49

(q/p)-3 = (49/25)-3 [ Taking LCM 25 ]

= (49 - 75)/25

= -26/25

Hence, value of (q/p)-3 = -26/25
