1. input devices are devices which are used to give input to the system as keyboard, mouse. output devices are devices which shows the output after processing as monitor, printer.

2. generations of computer defines the the way in which it was developed. there are generally four generations of computer. first generation of Computer uses transistors. second generation of computer vacuum tubes, third generation of Computer generation uses integrated circuits, fourth generation uses very small integrated circuits. as the generation increased, size of the computer system decreased and performance of the system increased significantly.

3. software is a set of instructions that are designed to perform some specific task. software is of two types application software and system software. applications softwares are designed design to perform user related task and system software are designed to perform system related task.
