plane 3x+4y-7z = 84​

To find intercepts, first we need to reduce this equation into its standard form which is x/a + y/b + z/c = 1 (a,b,c being x,y and z intercepts respectively)

As we can see, right side of equation contains 84.

So we can divide both side with 84 , so that we can get 1 in the right hand side.

We get,

3x/84 + 4y/84 - 7z/84 = 84/84

Which gives us x/28 + y/21 -z/12 =1.

On comparing it with the standard equation, we get a=28, which is the x intercept.
