4)The first stage includes surveying, mapping and measurement of characteristics and properties of resources. The second stage examines resources from the points of view of technology, economy and need. The third stage is related to action-oriented planning which emphasises use and reuse of the source

5) *Net sown area: It is the part of the land which is dedicated towards growing crops. It constitutes about 46.32% of the total growing land in a country. This land is distributed throughout the country. It might be abundant in areas where the temperature is moderate and favorable for growing crops.

*Gross cropped area: It is part of the land which is used for abundant growing for only one or two crops per year. It constitutes of 36% of the total farmers land on an average. It is basically some of the bet sown land.  is divided by net sown area. Usually intense cropping occurs on this land in warmer climates in the southern regions.
