The amount left would be a number having decimal expansion (A) terminating and non-repeating

Given,

Aryan was given 20,000 by his parents.

He spent 1/4 on food.

Amount spent od decoration is 3/10 of the remaining amount.

The amount spent on return gifts is 1/3 of the remaining amount.

The amount he needs to help his friend = 10,000

To find,

The decimal expansion of the amount left.

Solution:

Amount given by Aryan's parents = 20,000

Amount spent of food = (1/4)(20,000) = 5,000

Remaining amount = 20,000 - 5,000 = 15,000

Amount spent on decoration = (3/10)(15,000) = 4,500

Remaining amount = 15,000 - 4500 = 10,500

Amount spent on return gifts = (1/3) (10, 500) = 3,500

Remaining amount = 10,500 - 3,500 = 7,000

end

After the decimal point, the number comes to an end.

Hence, The remaining amount is terminating and non-repeating.
