Q4. The lengths of three pieces of cardboard are in the ratio 8 : 10:15. If the length of the
longest piece of cardboard is 4.5 cm, find the difference in the lengths of other two pieces of
cardboard.

Let's take the ratio be X.

1st length= 8x

2nd=10x

3rd=15x

A/Q,

15x= 4.5 ( it is the longest length)

X= 4.5/15

X= 0.3

1st length= 8x

8x0.3 =2.4 cm

2nd length= 10x0.3= 3 cm

Difference = 3-2.4 =0.6 cm
