Answer:

Q5

Area of square = Side x Side

                         = 48 x 48  (Since the sides of a square are same)

                         = 2304 sq. unit.

Perimeter of cloth = 4 x side

                              = 4 x 48

                              = 193 units

Q6

Area of rectangle = Length x Breadth

                             = 116 x 29

                             = 3364 sq. m

Perimeter = 2(length + Breadth)

                = 2(116 + 29)

                = 2 x 145

                = 290 m

Explanation:

Q5. Side of square = 48 cm

Area of square = (side)² sq.unit

= (48)² cm^2

= 2304 cm^2

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

= (4 × 48) cm

= 192 cm

Q6. Length of rectangle = 116 m

breadth of rectangle = 29 m

= perimeter of rectangle = 2(length+breadth) unit

= 2(116+29)m

= 2× 145 m

= 290 m

Area of rectangle = (Length × breadth) sq.unit

= (116 × 29) m^2

= 3364 m^2
