perimeter = 6 x side

= 6 x22/3

= 44

so there was 44cm of wire to make a hexagon and as the same wire is used to make a pentagon so the perimeter of the pentagon also will be 44 cm.

the perimeter of pentagon = 44cm

                                       5x  = 44cm

                                         x = 44/5 = 8.8 cm

∴ the side of the pentagon will be 8.8 cm
