distance is total path Cover by object. distance SI unit is m/s. distance formula - speed×time . distance is a scalar quantity.

displacement is a shortest path of a distance. displacement SI unit is m/s . displacement formula - velocity×time . displacement is a vector quantity.

            Actual distance or space between two points is called displacement. Whereas, the total distance covered by a body to reach a destination is called Distance.

Distance=speed ×time displacement =velocity× time

Distance is a scalar quantity. Displacement is a vector quantity.
