Let the amount of tea worth be x in 72/kg

This means x kg of this tea costs 72x

10 kg of tea worth 90*10 - 900

78/ kg worth - 78 (x+10)

72x + 900 = 78 (x+10)

72x + 900 = 78x + 780

Hence,

If solve the number is 20

Answer:

Add x kg of tea at $ 72/kg with 10 kg of tea at $ 90/kg.

72x + 10*90 = (x+10)*78

72x + 900 = 78x + 780, or

6x = 120, or

x = 20.

So add 20 kg of inferior tea to every 10 kg of superior tea to get a mixture of sub-standard tea worth $ 78/kg.

Check: [(20*72)+(10*90)]/30 = [1440+900}/30 = 2340/30 = 78.

Solve like this and put the numbers that were given in the question.
