Q6. The area of a rectangular plot is 616 square metre and its breadth is 22m. Find the length of the plot and the cost of fencing at the rate of Rs 7.50 per metre. *

Answer:

area of rectangular plot = length × breadth

= 616 m² = length × 22m

= 616/22 m = length

length = 28 m

cost of fencing = perimeter × cost

perimeter of rectangular plot × cost

2(l+b) × 7.50

2(28+22) × 7.50

100 × 7.5 = Rs 750
