Let the cost of one of the chair be x.

Therefore the cost of one of the table will be x+80

Therefore the cost of three chairs will be 3x and the cost of two tables will be 2(x+80).

Therefore the equation will be:

2(x+80)+3x=1040

2x+160+3x=1040

5x+160=1040

5x=1040-160

5x=880

x=880/5

x=1760

Therefore the cost of three chairs will be 3x1760=4280 and the cost of two tables will be 2x1760+80=2600

Therefore he cost of one table would be ₹1300 and the cost of one chair would be 1760.
