Q8. A gas jar containing air is placed upside down on a gas jar containing bromine vapours.
It is observed after sometime, the gas jar containing air also becomes completely reddish
brown.
(a) Explain why this happens.
(b) Name the process involved.​

(a) Because the particles of bromine vapour get mixed with the air particles placed in the jar so the jar becomes

completely reddish.

(b) This process is called diffusion

the spreading up of bromine vapour into air can be explained as :both air and bromine vapour are made pf tiny moving particles.The moving particles of bromine vapour and air collide with each other and bounce about in all directions due to which they get mixed uniformly. Also bromine vapours are heavier than air
