Q8. Sunny noticed while watching discoverychannel, that in general, the animals like
humans, cow, cats, loins etc. Give birth to their young ones, and deliver(max.) 1-6 litter per
delivery. But when it comes to fishes like salmon, the number of their gametes goes up from
thousands to millions. He wants to know the reason behind such discrimination made by the
nature. How will you explain it, as a student of biology?

Answer:

Explanation:                                                                                                     1.humans , cows, cats ,lions or other animals, mostly mammals or animals who  gives birth to small numbers of offspring  are more devoted for the nurturing and protection of their child than those of fishes or animals who give birth to large number of offspring, so there are low chances that all the  offspring of animals giving many offspring will survive

2. most animals who gives birth to many offspring lives in  surroundings which are inhabited by many other species or not surplus food is available like fishes and frogs respectively ,so in order to continue  their species on earth they give birth to many offspring so that at least some can survive
