Q9. 400 J of heat is produced in 4s in a 4 Ω resistor. Find potential difference across the resistor.

Given:

Heat = 400J
Time t = 4s
Resistance = 4Ω

Formula:

Heat produced H = i²Rt
                           H=(V/R)²Rt
                           H=V²t/R
                           V² = HR/t
                           V = √(400×4/4)
                           V = 20 V
Therefore, The potential difference across the resistor is 20V

●Using relation,H = I^2Rt

=(V/R)2×R×t

=V^2/R×t

●Putting the values,

100=V^2/4×1
