(Q90). The average weight of X, Y and Z is 45 kg. If the average weight of X and Y be 40 kg and that of Y and Z be 43 kg, then the weight of Y is:

Answer :

X + Y + Z = 45 × 3= 135Kg...(i)

X + Y = 40 × 2 = 80 Kg ..(ii)

Y + Z = 43 × 2 = 86 Kg....(iii)

From i and ii

Z= 55Kg....(iv)

from iii and iv

Y = 31 Kg

Thus, Weight of Y is 31 Kg.
