due to inertia of motion. suppose the train is moving and it comes to rest the door doesnt come to rest immediately . so it moves foward. the viceversa takes place when the train begins to move so this is because of inertia of motion

(2) It is due to inertia of motion as well. When you travel in a bus say moving with a velocity 10m/s, you are also moving wrt the bus in 10m/s. When the bus stops, the velocity of your body causes you to fall forward
