Subject: Man’s increasing dependence on technology and its consequences

Dear Sir:

I am writing to your good self to express my deep concern over the problem of man’s increasing dependence on technology and its consequences. Modern life-style and man's increasing dependence on technology have literally affected his mental and physical faculties and capabilities adversely. Not only intelligence, the effect of technology and gadgets is visible on all aspects of his life. Machines, gadgets, vehicles, smart-phones, tabs, laptops, ac, blower, geyser, and whatnot, man cannot live for a second without technology. As a consequence, he has become physically, mentally, socially, spiritually, emotionally weak!

Mobile phones, I pads, laptops, and TVs have done the maximum damage. Not only the health of the children has been affected adversely, but social relationships have also been undermined. The need of the hour is inculcating moderation and temperance in the minds of the youngsters in the use of gadgets. Through the columns of your esteemed daily I appeal to people and the Government to make policies to protect the youngsters from the negative influences of technology. Kindly give my views enough space in your daily.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Subject: Concern about the misuse of technology by the youth

Dear Sir,

This letter is neither the usual complaint nor complimentary kind that your office is flooded with. This is a letter from a school student who has been deeply influenced by the debate on the misuse of technology held in his school and is deeply concerned about the way technology is penetrating our lives and silently eating into our system. I would like you to publish my letter in the ‘Letters to the Editor’ section with the simple intention that I would like more and more people to come forward and express their opinion on this serious but often ignored problem.
