Alimentary canal is the place where food is digested with the aid of

several digestive enzymes secreted by digestive glands located in

different parts. The digestive food is then absorbed by small intestine

through numerous finger like projections. Absorption also occurs in large intestine. The absorbed food goes into the blood and reaches to

the cell where it is utilised.
