Let total part be x

Part use by vegetables=x/3

Remaining part=x-x/3

=2x/3

Part used by flowers = x/3

Remaining part = 2x/3 - x/3

=x/3

Given that 1/3 of the garden has vegetables.

Also another 1/3rd part has flowers.
Total space occupied is
1/3+1/3= 2/3

Space left to grow grass=
3/3-2/3 (3/3 is the total space of the garden)

=(3-2)/3=1/3
Ans=1/3
Hope this was helpful:)
