1. Vapour pressure can be defined as pressure formed by the vapor of the liquid (or solid) over the surface of the liquid. This pressure is formed in a thermodynamic equilibrium state in a closed container at a certain temperature.

2.the attractive force exerted upon the surface molecules of a liquid by the molecules beneath that tends to draw the surface molecules into the bulk of the liquid and makes the liquid assume the shape having the least surface area
