Find the cube roots of the following:(a) 1728

Find the cube roots of the following:(a) 1728 (b) 3375

Your answer:

a)

 =  \sqrt[3]{1728}

 =  \sqrt[3]{12 \times 12 \times 12}

 =  \sqrt[3]{(12)^{3} }

[ cancel the cube root and cube ]

 = 12

therefore, the cube root of 1728 is 12

b)

[tex] = \sqrt[3]{3375} [/tex]

[tex] = \sqrt[3]{(15)^3} [/tex]
