Question 1. Supposetion was placed on a sound scientific footing by two scientists they are

i) Galileo Galilei ii) Isaac Newton.

Question 2. The first thing we have to know is that there is no absolute rest or absolute motion. Rest and motion are relative terms.

Question 3. The distance will be 0, as the ball returns to it's inital position. The distance covered will be twice the length from P to Q.
