canal rays are radiations which are positively charged and was the key in the discovery of proton, another positively charged subatomic particle.
its is also known as anode rays.
its was invented by E. Goldstein in the year 1886.

Eu-gen Gold stein who was a scientist in Germany and later through his experiments he invented canal rays.
his research came out in year 
1886.

cathode rays, electrons (insides) and pump, molecules of gas etc..
it is basically a stream or beam or ray of positive charged molecules that contain net electric charge............
