20x1=20
1x1=1
1x5=5

Now 20x1x5=100
Therefore, 100 fruits=100 Rupees.

No. Of fruits is = 100

Cost of fruits= 100rs

100 fruits = 100 Rupees =?

We can solve this problem in the following way

• Number of bananas= 20

• 20 bananas cost = 1 Rupee

20×1= 20

• One mango cost = 1 Rupe

1×1=1

• One apple cost = 5 Rupees

1×5= 5

• Total number of fruits= 20×1×5= 20×5= 100

• So 100 fruits = 100 Rupees

• The total number of fruits is equal to the cost of fruits. Both are equal.
