EVALUATION

Here it is given that A sum of Rs. 15000 is distributed among Gauri, Parvati and Lakshmi in the ratio of 6:5:4 respectively

Let the shares of Gauri, Parvati and Lakshmi are Rs. 6x , Rs. 5x , Rs. 4x respectively

Then by the given condition

6x + 5x + 4x = 15000

$\implies \sf{15x = 15000}$

$\implies \sf{x = 1000}$

Now the difference between the shares of Gauri and Lakshmi is

= Rs. ( 6x - 4x )

= Rs. 2x

= Rs. 2000
