Apomixis produces the seeds without any fertilization.
Apomixis is a mode of Asexual reproduction.
It is actually used in hybrid industry so it's really important too.
It's drawback is that hybrid plants can't retain their property for longer time so we have to produce hybrid every year.
The only way to avoid it is to introduce apomixis in hybrid seeds.
