1.The author notices that while the other hawkers shouted out their wares, the flute seller didn't instead he simply played a flute simply and meditatively without excessive display.

2. At Pasupatinath, there is a small shrine that extends out of the stone platform on the river bank of Bhagmati. It is believed that when the small shrine will emerge fully, the goddess inside it will escape and the Kalyug on the earth will finally end.

3. i) Febrile confusion - S
ome people trying to get the priest’s attention are elbowed aside , a group of saffron-clad Westerners trying to enter the temple as only Hindus were allowed and a fight that breaks out between two monkeys.

ii) He saw fruit sellers, flute sellers, hawkers of postcards, shops selling  film rolls, chocolates, western cosmetics, copper utensils and Nepalese antiques,etc on the busy streets.
He saw small shops on the outer edge where felt bags, Tibetan prints and silver jewellery could be bought.
He also saw that the Baudhanath stupa had a white dome which was ringed by a road.

iii) He heard sounds of film songs that were blaring out from the radios.
He heard sounds of car horns,bicycle bells and vendors crying their wares.
He also heard the sound of flute music.
