Question 2 Show that the statement “For any real numbers a and b, a^2 = b^2 implies that a = b” is not true by giving a counter-example.

for any real number a and b , a² = b² implies that a = b isn't true .

If we Let a = 2 and b = -2
then, a² = 4
b² = 4
we observed , a² = b² = 4
but a ≠ b
hence, the given statement isn't true .
