Because perfect squares never end in 2, 3, 7 and 8 and nor do they end in an uneven number of zeros.

The above numbers aren't perfect squares.
1) Because it ended with 7
2) Because it ended with 3
3) Because it ended with 8
4) Because it ended with 2
5) Because it has odd numbers of zeroes at the end.
6) Because it ended with 2
7) Because it has odd numbers of zeroes at the end
8) Because it has odd numbers of zeroes at the end

We know that Numbers ending with 2,3,7,8 aren't perfect squares.
Also number ending with odd number of zeroes can't be perfect square
