Can the wing of a butterfly and the wing of a bat be considered homologous organs ? Why or why not ?

NO WE CANNOT CONSIDER THE WINGS OF BUTTERFLY AND WING OF A BAT AS HOMOLOGOUS ORGANS BECAUSE WINGS OF BATS ARE SKIN FOLDS STREATCHED MAINLY BETWEEN ELONGATED FINGERS BUT THE WINGS OF BIRDS ARE A FEATHRY COVERINGS ALL ALONG THE ARM.

✴ definition of homologous organs :- there show common pattern in arrangement of bones .even though there Function varies.


✴ butterfly use its wings to fly.

✴ bat also use it Wings to fly.

✒so there Function is same.

⏩ so by the definition of homologous organs ,v can conclude they are not homologous organs.

⏩they are known as " analogous organs "
