Answer:

growth in population is 6%

Given:-

  • population of town = 2500
  • increase in population = 26500

To find :-

  • growth in population

Solution:-

firstly

we will find the differnce btween grwoth of population

difference = 26500 - 25000 \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = 1500 \\  \\ now \: increase \: \% \\  \\ as \: we \: know \\  \\ increase \: \% =  \frac{increase \: in \: volume}{orignal \: value}  \times 100 \\  \\ increase\% =  \frac{1500}{25000}  \times 100 \\  \\ increase\% = 6\%

hence,

growth in population is 6%
